Born in Chicago, Craig Bove received a Bachelor of Music from Northwestern University and completed his studies with the acquisition of a a Ph.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He has studied composition with Morton Feldman, David Felder, Donald Erb, Bernard Rands, and others. He has received several awards including Meet the Composer grants, Fromm Foundation awards, American Music Center awards, and Presser Foundation grants. Bove currently teaches music history and composition while he remains active as a composer and performer nationwide.

• Magus (1996-7). Quartet for violin, piano & percussion (marimba/vibraphone).
• Violin Dance (1996). Solo violin. (6 minutes).
• Flight (1996). A fugue for 2 pianos (16 minutes).
• ...in the Machine (1996). Concerto for 14 soloists and orchestra (15 minutes).
• Guitar Cycle (1995-97). Solo classical guitar. Commissioned by Thomas Kiel (13 minutes).
• Memoriam (1993). Solo percussion (vibraphone, marimba, crotales) (15 minutes).
• Current (1991). SATB chorus, string quartet. Text by Laura Damon. Commissioned by Niagara Falls Rainbow Singers (10 minutes).
• Double Helix (1991). Orchestra, four electric guitars, electric bass. Commissioned by June-in-Buffalo (15 minutes).
• Nightscape (1988). Clarinet, two pianos. Commissioned by William Powell (18 minutes).
• Piano Music (1987). Solo piano (15 minutes).
• Night Voices (1986). Solo piano (14 minutes).
• Identities (1985). Flute, clarinet/bass clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, trombone, percussion, two violins, viola, cello, piano (13 minutes).
• Transience (1985). Violin, cello, piano, two percussion (11 minutes).
